So, we will need to figure out and choose one style or way of working which we prefer. There are multiple ways to do things which will give us the same result. We have to plan ahead and think about which element or side we would want to start making our part from. Throughout the whole process, the most important part is arguably the planning part. There goes another 10 hours of my life, redoing the same assignment.
My professor did not take my mistake of installing and using the wrong version too kindly, and told me to redo the whole assignment in the 2020 version. I was not present for the first lesson as I had add/dropped into this mod, and did not know till the first assignment submission. In addition, if your professor is as particular as me, they will purposely request that you have the 2020 version installed, even if they can open the latest 2021 files. Thus, it is best to follow the school version in the event you have to use to school computers to open and edit your files for whatever reason. Since Inventor is not backwards compatible, which means Inventor 2020 will not be able to open any files created using Inventor 2021. From what I remember, it is Inventor 2020. But wait!! Not so fast! Even before you start downloading and installing Inventor, please check and confirm with your professors the version the school is using. After your educational access has been approved, you would think it’s time to download and install the latest version of Inventor.
